ALCOA chooses ADP to manage Social Commitment
March 10, 2008

ALCOA, the world’s leading producer of primary aluminium and fabricated aluminium, chooses ADP’s on-line Commitment Management service offering to calculate end-of-career and work medal compensation.

When the IAS 19/IFRS «Personnel Benefits» law went into effect January 1, 2005, regulated market-listed companies in the EU and unlisted French companies that chose to apply the IFRS were required to record their social commitments as liabilities in their consolidated balance sheets and provide detailed information in the annex notes.

For Véronique Catallo, ALCOA’s payroll manager for France, «ADP’s Commitment Management offering brought ALCOLA the advantages of a very professional, user-friendly tool whose simple navigation enabled us to be autonomous in its use. The offering’s value proposition is that with this one function we can detail and justify our calculations. »

ADP’s Commitment Management offering enables companies to optimise their finances through a dynamic assessment of all situations, the security of integral control of the consistency of the flow generated by the application and the ability to trace results through individual calculation reports.
ADP commits to and guarantees the availability of updated data from its payroll information system and total compliance with the new accounting requirements.

A partner since 2002, ADP has already managed the payroll and all statutory reports for ALCOLA. ADP has once more been selected in recognition of its expertise in the domain of Social Commitment management.

Today, 500 clients are already using the Commitment Management offering.
